Join me, Alicia Staley Johnson, for an inspiring three-day Fine Art Floral Photography Workshop, where photography and floral design come together to create breathtaking imagery. Whether you’re an experienced photographer looking to refine your craft or a passionate creative eager to explore the art of floral photography, this workshop will provide the tools, techniques, and hands-on experience to elevate your work.

A 3 Day Creative Workshop Designed to Inspire

Set in Alicia’s custom designed, Paris apartment styled studio, this three-day immersive experience is about more than just photography—it’s about art, connection, and creativity. With hands-on instruction, a collaborative atmosphere, and Andrew’s breathtaking floral design instruction, this workshop will be a space for experimentation, growth, and artistic discovery.

 

What You’ll Learn & Experience:

  • Learn the art of floral arrangement, working with textures, colors, and natural movement to create fine art compositions. Andrew will guide us through his creative process, offering insights into selecting and styling blooms for photography.

  • Explore the magic of natural light, soft directional lighting, and subtle shadow play to craft images that feel ethereal and painterly. We’ll work with window light, controlled artificial lighting, and outdoor settings (weather permitting)  to capture the delicate beauty of florals in different environments.

  • Discover how to develop a signature style, infuse emotion into your work, and compose floral imagery that feels like a timeless painting. I’ll share my approach to design, texture, and depth, helping you refine your artistic voice.

  • Learn my editing techniques to transform your images into exquisite fine art pieces. We’ll dive into subtle retouching, tonal adjustments, and painterly effects to bring out the depth and emotion in your floral photography.

  • Each day will include dedicated time for styling and photographing your floral creations, allowing you to experiment, refine your skills, and receive personalized feedback in an intimate, creative environment.

To ensure the best experience, this workshop is for photographers who are comfortable using their DSLR or mirrorless camera in manual mode. You should have a working knowledge of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, as we will be focusing on creative styling, lighting, and fine art techniques rather than camera basics.
